As one of the largest publishing, printing and packaging companies in South Africa, Caxton and CTP Publishers and Printers recognises the vital role that paper plays in everyday life, and the need to nurture this resource and use it sustainably. Paper is also the enduring symbol of a binding pact. Together these factors form the foundation of our Paper Pledge.

Environmental sustainability is a cornerstone of ethical and responsible business. For years, Caxton has been firmly committed to environmentally-friendly practices within our organisation. Now we publicly affirm the Caxton group's commitment to our Paper Pledge:

We constantly seek to minimise the harmful impact of our business decisions, practices, manufacturing processes, distribution chain and products on the planet, and we hold ourselves accountable to meet this commitment.

Our Paper Pledge promises that we will do better, at every level of our business. It is a promise to report to our stakeholders on our progress in this regard, and a promise to improve on our Environmental, Social and Governance (ESG) disclosures, in line with global trends.

From reducing emissions, recycling our waste and subjecting our manufacturing processes and factories to environmental certification, to eliminating the indiscriminate use of plastics and supporting a circular economy, we are transforming our focus, business strategies and ESG reporting to include all components of our Paper Pledge.
